20 Creative Ideas for a Romantic Date Night at Home
This Valentine’s Day will be a little different to previous ones, with many date ideas no longer possible; we have come up with a few simple ideas to create a romantic and memorable date night at home. No matter what you choose to do, the most important thing to remember is are to make your dates about connecting and doing something different for a few hours away from your everyday routines.
- Turn Your Dining Room or Patio into a Dining Destination
The most common thing to do on valentines is to enjoy a special meal out together, but with reservations being cancelled this year, why not try transforming your home into your very own restaurant. First things first: Set the mood by pulling out the good dishes, using a tablecloth, lighting candles, and Playing soft background music.
When it comes to choosing a menu, it is up to what works best for you: If you enjoy cooking, find some recipes you can create together if you want to cook but would not mind using a few shortcuts, try buying prepared food at your local grocery store or using a meal-prep service like Riverford or Hello Fresh or forget cooking altogether and order your favourite takeaway.
2. Have a desert date.

Creating a luxurious and relaxing spa in your very own home might sound like a lot of work. But it doesn’t have to be. You can keep things simple by doing couples facials, manicures, pedicures, massages, and having a special bath with bubbles , rose petals, or bath bomb. For the perfect ambience, light some candles, lay fresh towels and play some relaxing spa music. Then take turns giving each other spa services; this is sure to create a date filled with pampering and fun.

Enjoy a night under the stars. Create a truly magical experience by setting up blankets and pillows in the backyard and enjoy star gazing together. classic but always a good choice in playing 20 questions. Learn about your partner by asking some questions; they could be anything from deep and meaningful to fun and silly; this is a simple date to bring you even closer together.

Remember playing this game with your friends in college? You can customize the game and play it with your partner on a date night. Play it at home or in a park, the choice is yours! You can come up with funny or romantic questions if your partner chooses ‘truth.’ Otherwise, make them do what they hesitate to if they choose a ‘dare.’ Either way, you can enjoy playing it.
